After our trip to Italy in March 2022, we were not satisfied with the anticipated accommodations. After trapsing in and out of over two dozen hotels (...yes, two dozen (24+), you read that correctly), we finally have suitable recommendations to house all of our party people hopping across the pond with us in June!! Unfortunately, we did not find a single hotel large enoguh to house everyone and instead found a selection of multiple properties near each other with 5 to 20 available rooms in each.
Betsy and Mitch are staying a Hotel Forum, which will also serve as the locale for the rehearsal dinner.
Right off of Via Dei Fori Imperialli, Hotel Forum is very centrally located, situated between the Colisseum and the Vittoriano with amazing views of the Roman forums.
Located directly across from Hotel Forum, this is a charming boutique hotel with a spa on site. The rooms are more modern than Hotel Forum, although the hotel is less grand with a small lobby.
Booking: 12 rooms are on hold at this property, for June 1-June 4 for a total of euro 500.00 (euro 166.00/night). The option to book here expires April 30, 2022. To book at these rates, contact Simona at residenze@argileto.it and mention "Banchik Wedding".
Roma Luxus Hotel is two blocks northwest of Hotel Forum towards the Trevi fountain (approx. a 4 minute walk from Hotel Forum). It is a very nice, modern property with rooms available for June 1-June 4.
Charming boutique hotel located behind Hotel Forum.
Grand Hotel Palatino is a very large hotel, centrally located and approx. .2 miles from Hotel Forum. We stayed in this hotel on our last night in Rome. The rooms were large and very Italian in style. Rooms can be booked directly through the hotel website or through a third-party booking website.
Hotel Quirinale is a large hotel located on Via Nazionale between the central station and Piazza Venezia. It is a bit further from Forum Hotel than Grand Hotel Palatino, but still centrally located. The rooms are more traditional, with anttique furniture and the vibe of a palace. There are several styles of rooms located on the property.
We have secured a rate of euro 200.00 per night for the Standard Room, which includes breakfast. The option expires on April 30, 2022.
If you would like a more "American" style property, the Doubletree is a very nice property, open for approx. 1 year. It is located in the Monti neighborhhod, between the train station and the Forum. We have secured 20 rooms at this property for 300 euros per night, with breakfast. The option expires April 15, 2022.
